FATHERHOOD ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR - PART-TIME
The Fatherhood Engagement Coordinator (part-time) will primarily work with African American fathers and their children under the age of 18 that are child welfare involved and/or have been impacted by incarceration. This includes fathers that are currently incarcerated and/or reentering to Multnomah County. The goal of these programs is to strengthen the Black family by supporting reunification of children with their fathers and to mitigate the adverse effects of parental incarceration. The Fatherhood Engagement Coordinator is a part-time position working up to 28 hours a week providing individual small group facilitation, transportation and monitoring for children for visits with their fathers Groups and visits can take place in Oregon's penitentiaries and/or in the community, location will be dependent on contract you are hired for. The work schedule is primarily Tuesdays and Thursday afternoons and evenings and occasional weekends. This position works out of SEI Community & Family Programs building located at 2205 NE Columbia Blvd., Portland, OR 97211 and reports to the Child Welfare Advocacy Programs Manager. Employment is contingent upon passing an Oregon Department Human Services (ODHS) Child Welfare Background check and passing an extensive background check, including clearance through Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) if entering Oregon penitentiaries.
