This dental hygienist position qualifies for Loan Repayment Options. The Expanded Practice Registered Dental Hygienist works collaboratively with an integrated care team to provide direct dental hygiene clinical treatment and education in oral health maintenance and prevention to mobile medical clinic patients. The position develops and implements an individual preventive oral health program for clinic patients, other interested individuals and organizations. The position provides much-needed education and prevention services to a culturally diverse population that often has limited prior exposure to modern dental procedures. Creates a work culture of respect, trust and understanding for the highly diverse populations the Health Department serves in the office and in the community. This is a Limited Duration position.
As a newly hired Dental Hygienist, you will receive a one-time New Hire Recruitment and Retention Incentive payment of $1,500 on your first paycheck. The incentive will be prorated based on the position's FTE status.

Schedule will be 4 days per week: 8 hours/day, with 2 late days and 2 early days Mondays and Tuesdays - late days, 10:00 am - 6:30 pm Wednesdays and Thursdays - early days, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Minimum Qualifications/Transferable Skills*: Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be as noted below. All non-traditional education, training and experience will be evaluated.

Multco County COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement: To protect the health of the community and employees, Multnomah County requires employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved medical or religious exemption as a qualification of employment.
