Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Coordinator to support the day-to-day fiscal operations of our organization. This role is responsible for accounting, accounts receivable/payable, vendor coordination, financial reporting and overseeing collections. The Finance Coordinator also assists the Director of Finance with financial policies and projects, and supervises the Finance Specialist.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as first step of Escalation Policy for clients behind on payments; work with clients to adjust
    payment plans as needed.
  • Coordinate with third-party collections agency on overdue payments.
  • Create and maintain financial reports for Director of Finance and CEO.
  • Execute payments and check writing for accounts payable; maintain accurate AP data.
  • Ensure accurate accounting for and recording of accounts receivable.
  • Collect, record and process payments for employee reimbursements.
  • Maintain training and policy and procedures documentation for the finance department.
  • Assist with requests from the Firm's bookkeeper.
  • Assist Director of Finance with financial projects as requested.
  • Support other departments with record keeping and special projects as needed.
  • Supervise Finance Assistant, ensuring their success, as well as other finance employees as directed.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
What We're Looking for

Skills & Abilities
  • Strong financial and analytical skills.
  • Impeccable data entry and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in QuickBooks, Excel, Access, and financial software.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Solid verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to learn and teach new skills quickly.
  • Spanish fluency strongly preferred.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (required).
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in financial reporting, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
  • QuickBooks experience strongly preferred.
  • Management experience preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
