As a CBRE Operations Management Director, you assist with the oversight of the department responsible for planning, managing, and directing business operations for a large region or a high-profile global client. This job is part of the Operations Management function and involves coordinating staff functions and operations that support the organization's goals and strategies.
What You'll Do
- Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
- Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, cross-train staff, set and track department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
- Assist with providing efficient and effective strategic operations, including revenue growth and profitability and new business development.
- Conduct departmental financial evaluations, including monthly revenue and expense projections.
- Oversee and guide the work of the communications function, ensuring client-facing and intra-organizational content aligns with company standards. Coordinate with internal marketing and communications teams to support service delivery, promotion, and public relations.
- Ensure global KPI agreement, alignment, calculation, and monthly/quarterly/annual reporting.
- Oversee governance of client contracts, working with clients and internal stakeholders on renewals and ongoing governance, maintaining listings, transaction files, and regulatory/compliance standards.
- Lead day-to-day operational methods and standards, defining and executing an operational plan that supports execution and growth.
- Set priorities for project resources, assess needs, and ensure account office standards are met through training.
- Coordinate Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Extended Leadership Team (XLT) meetings to ensure consistent communication of global processes, policy, and procedure.
- Identify opportunities to improve, refine, and expand services via best practices and innovations in real estate services.
- Ensure contractual obligations are communicated, deficits identified and addressed, including cost savings and compliance.
- Support Global Alliance Director (GAD) in formulating global account strategy, including alliance plan, client goal alignment, and relationship management.
- Act as a single point of contact for client partner enablement teams to ensure seamless interaction between CBRE account operations and client stakeholders.
- Deliver account all-hands meetings, quarterly business reviews (QBRs), and annual strategic evaluation team (SET) meetings.
- Act as a change agent with experience delivering transitions across geographies and encouraging adoption of new processes.
- Coordinate procurement and maintenance of office supplies and equipment; review vendor service contracts with internal procurement.
- Apply knowledge across disciplines to impact departmental and cross-functional performance. Model CBRE RISE values and Client Maxims; negotiate with external partners and vendors to reach common goals.
- Identify and solve multi-dimensional, complex operational and organizational problems using available resources.
- Drive improvements to methods, processes, and standards within the role.
- Global experience preferred. Expected travel up to 20% (global and domestic).
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8-12 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is required/perferred.
- Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems.
- Leadership skills to set, manage, and achieve targets with direct impact on multiple departments.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and familiarity with Slack, Airtable, and Tableau.
- Strong organizational skills and an adaptive, inquisitive mindset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment with a tolerance for ambiguity.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
