Overview

Day One Agency is hiring for the VP, Creative Director (Art). This full-time role is located in Portland and requires a hybrid work schedule. The company is a creative agency focused on fresh thinking and cultural relevance.

Responsibilities

• Be a creative team leader and champion of big ideas
• Execute and sell creative and brand vision for our clients and the Day One brand
• Inspire, motivate, and mentor internal design & creative teams while actively inspiring clients to elevate their work
• Develop concepts designed to connect with culture
• Shape and develop cohesive narratives, maximizing the quality of output
• Ideate and develop breakthrough concepts, setting an example for the team
• Bring a solution-oriented approach to every challenge
• Communicate across teams consistently and effectively
• Review and refine briefs, project plans and staffing across projects
• Act as a true team player and be willing to take on any creative task, big or small

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in art direction/design
• Experience successfully leading creative projects from ideation through execution
• Experience working across disciplines
• Driven by the creative landscape of social media
• Experience leading complex assignments and collaborating with a diverse team
• Visually led skill set with ability to oversee ideation and presentations
• Experience project managing deliverables and organizing resources
• Entrepreneurial spirit and a style that inspires
• Proficiency in generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, MidJourney, Runway, DALL·E, or similar platforms
• Demonstrated ability to use AI in developing innovative advertising concepts, content creation, and campaign strategies
• Bachelor's degree

Compensation + Benefits

The base compensation range for this role is $170,000 - $200,000 and this position is eligible for benefits that include medical insurance (health, dental, and vision), retirement plan, paid time off, paid parental leave, and other benefits. The company is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This role is based in Portland and is full-time with a hybrid schedule.
