Job Details

Design and conduct independent research projects in consultation with Dr. Lobingier related to the lab's areas of focus. Contributes to the development of experimental procedures and standard operating procedures within the lab and assists in training of new lab personnel. Maintains an accurate lab notebook, computational notebook where relevant, and follows lab guidelines on data archiving/storage. Attends lab meeting, applies for independent funding and assists with grant-writing related to the assigned projects, presents research at conferences, writes and edits manuscripts. Contributes as part of the team to general laboratory tasks, including but not limited to: autoclaving, preparation of cloning reagents, supply ordering, mycoplasma testing, laboratory and equipment maintenance, etc. Other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university's missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service.
