Overview

Operations Manager – A/E/C Industry at Terracon in Portland, Oregon. Lead a team of Architectural, Engineering, and Construction professionals across geotechnical, environmental, and materials testing service lines. Focus on inclusive, diverse, high-performing culture in a rapidly growing office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Oregon Area with a main office in Portland and a satellite location in Tri-Cities, Washington, supporting over 50 employee owners and multiple technical departments.
• Implement Terracon's Vision and Strategic Plan locally.
• Assign office manpower to projects with technical experts to ensure best utilization of staff.
• Develop and execute the annual office business plan; drive growth and profitability.
• Assist Department Managers in determining staffing needs; manage progress on business development, project schedules, safety, financial results, and facilities.
• Lead and direct the area's Business Development efforts, partnering with marketing and client development on pursuits and large proposals across service lines.
• Understand project risks and align with company risk policies.
• Promote continuous innovation and long-term growth opportunities; mentor employees and ensure supervisors do the same.
• Lead safety culture locally, implementing safety initiatives and guidelines.
• Monitor quality on projects and ensure adherence to best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 10 years' practice experience, or 12 years' related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Prior A/E/C management experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.

Preferred Certification

• Certification or licensure in field of expertise.
