Our internship program is purposefully designed to reflect what it means to be an integral part of Pence. This will take place over a 10+ week period during the summer months. This is achieved through our hands-on, summer-long program structured to build a foundation of industry knowledge while personal and professional growth is facilitated through collaboration, exploration, and mentorship. From "lunch & learn" sessions to our all-day all-intern event, we believe in connecting our interns to various aspects of the company so they can truly evaluate potential career paths within the work we do.

Education and Experience:

The following qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to perform the job but are not all inclusive.

• Pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Construction Engineering Management, or similar degree
• Availability in summer (June start until August/September depending on school)
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, detail-oriented
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Duties
- Maintain, track & update subcontractor database
- Download and upload construction documents from architects, engineering firms and clients
- Assist estimating department during the bidding process
- Prepare and distribute time-sensitive materials
- Set up project folders, organize & maintain project information
- Copying, printing & filing for estimating team
- Other duties as assigned
