Job Details

My client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Engineer in Portland, Oregon with a Professional Engineer (PE) license and a minimum of 6 years of experience in structural design and analysis for residential, commercial, and educational projects. The ideal candidate will lead projects from concept through construction, ensuring structural integrity, code compliance, and client satisfaction.

• Lead structural engineering design for residential, commercial, and educational facilities.
• Perform detailed structural analysis and calculations using industry-standard software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, RAM, RISA, Revit).
• Prepare construction documents including drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure construction aligns with design intent and code requirements.
• Review and approve shop drawings and submittals.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and national building codes and standards (IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC, etc.).
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
  
  

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Active PE license in OR preffered.
• 6+ years of experience in structural engineering design and project management.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and BIM software.
• Strong understanding of building codes and construction practices.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

• Experience with sustainable design and LEED projects.
• Familiarity with design-build and fast-track project delivery methods.
