Mobile Lab Technician

Eco Safe Abatement in Oregon is looking for a Mobile Lab Technician to test for asbestos, mold, and lead. You will travel to different locations, collect samples, run tests, and write reports to help keep buildings safe and meet Oregon's strict environmental rules.

Main Duties

• Visit homes and businesses across Oregon to collect samples for asbestos, mold, and lead testing.
• Use proper tools and follow Oregon DEQ safety rules to gather samples and handle hazardous materials
• Test samples on-site using lab equipment.
• Inspect buildings to check for asbestos, mold, or lead.
• Record your findings and keep clear notes.
• Analyze results and decide if there are any hazards.
• Write simple reports for clients with your findings and suggestions.
• Work with restoration companies, contractors, and insurance companies.
• Stay up to date with Oregon regulations and safety standards for asbestos, mold, and lead testing
• Take care of lab tools and equipment.
• Help keep track of supplies.
• Take part in training to improve your skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in science (like environmental science, chemistry, or biology) is preferred.
• Certifications in asbestos, mold, or lead testing are a plus (such as NIOSH 582, EPA AHERA, or Oregon DEQ asbestos certification).
• Experience testing for asbestos, mold, or lead is helpful.
• Must pay attention to detail and follow instructions.
• Good at solving problems and understanding test results.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Able to work alone, manage your time, and travel regularly.
• Must be committed to safety.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Compensation: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
