We have an immediate opening for a Traffic Design Engineer-In-Training (EIT) to collaborate with our principals and project managers on traffic design and traffic operations projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing traffic engineering projects such as signing/striping, traffic control plans, traffic signals, street lighting, and ITS.
• Assist in preparing PS&E under the guidance of licensed engineers.
• Conduct field reviews and data collection to support design and analysis.
• Support projects by performing traffic impact studies, corridor studies, and safety analysis.
• Stay current with local, state, and federal design standards and guidelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• At least 2 years of relevant traffic or transportation engineering experience.
• EIT certification and working toward obtaining PE licensure.
• Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, Synchro, or other related tools.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to juggle multiple deadlines and keep projects moving efficiently.
