DEPARTMENT: Administration/Operations
REPORTS TO: Operations Manager
CLASSIFICATION: Full-time, weekends as needed. Local Travel: required
SCOPE OF WORK: The Facilities Specialist will assist in managing operations of offices, housing developments, warehouse, and day shelter, ensuring the smooth operation of the League's 24/7 facilities. The Facilities Specialist will perform warehouse and inventory, maintenance, and security tasks. The ideal candidate excels in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing maintenance and warehouse with vendor management experience. Oversee security systems maintenance in a timely and responsive manner that promotes continuous improvement across the agency's sites.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect buildings and facilities for needed maintenance and repairs
- Vendor management for all facilities, including security, maintenance and movers
- Oversee all warehouse and inventory functions with direction from Operations Manager
- Perform preventative maintenance on facilities systems and respond to minor maintenance service calls
- Work with IT Operations Specialist to install or repair various facilities infrastructure components
- Perform fire and safety systems checks for all locations based on EOP policy
- Oversee vendor coordination for moving, contractors and maintenance services
- Maintain the agency vehicles and all related documentation
- Ensure integration of maintenance, process controls, and operations
- Work with a waste reduction mindset and drive continuous improvement in maintenance and production operations
- Contribute to the overall agency efforts by completing other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Vendor management and broad experience doing light routine maintenance in office and residential settings
- Inventory and warehouse management skills
- Knowledge of safe operation of equipment and precautions to avoid accidents
- Ability to read instructions and blueprints
- Ability to operate hand and power tools
- Must be able to work flexible hours
- Proactive, professional, solutions-oriented verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to interact with other employees, vendors and community members in a professional and efficient manner
Working Conditions
- Office-based with occasional travel to company sites as needed
- Standard business hours with the potential for additional hours
