Admitting Representative - Per Diem/On Call Variable

Providence Health & Services – Providence Portland Medical Center, 4805 NE Glisan St, Portland, OR. Employment type: Part-time. Shift: Multiple shifts available. Pay range: $19.40–$29.08 per hour (base).

Job Description
One Revenue Cycle (ORC) supports revenue cycle systems across Providence Health & Services. The Admitting Representative secures patient account reimbursement by collecting complex demographic, insurance, and medical information and ensuring timely and accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Secure patient account reimbursement by collecting and documenting patient demographic, insurance, and medical information.
  Verify insurance eligibility and accuracy of patient data.
• Coordinate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure accurate admission and billing records.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and internal policy requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration.
• National Certification of CHAA upon hire.
• 3 years of experience in Patient Access or a business office setting, including insurance eligibility systems.
• 3 years of utilization of medical terminology and knowledge of medical billing codes.
• 1 year of knowledge of Epic applications.
