The Oregon Convention Center is looking for a Parking and Dock Coordinator. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a direct contribution in coordinating the Parking and Loading Dock experience. You will support amazing events by working independently and across teams ensuring parking equipment is operating accurately and checking in all back of house non-employee workers including vendors, decorators, contractors and client staff. You will be working with a team of talented and diverse individuals who are all focused on creating a welcoming and safe environment for everyone visiting the Convention Center.
As the Parking and Dock Coordinator you will:
* Use digital platforms to check in contractors, decorators, and visitors, and create secure access badges for non-employee personnel.
* Coordinate dock staff check-ins, assign equipment, and ensure smooth shift transitions.
* Monitor and report any misuse of loading dock or parking services to maintain safety and compliance.
* Operate a wide range of technology-from iPads and barcode scanners to parking systems and access control software-alongside Office 365 and camera monitoring tools.
* Prepare and maintain accurate reports, records, and operational systems with strong attention to detail and clear written communication.
* Organize and manage both electronic and physical filing systems, ensuring quick retrieval and secure document handling.
* Manage and update data across multiple platforms with precision and efficiency.
* Create, process, and reconcile reports and correspondence using advanced digital tools to ensure accuracy and clarity.
* Performs other related duties as assigned.

TO QUALIFY

Minimum qualifications:
* High School Diploma or GED; AND
* One year of general office and specialized customer service and problem-solving experience; OR
* We will consider any combination of education and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
Shifts:
Your schedule will vary based on operational needs, weather conditions, and special events at the Convention Center. We primarily need coverage during swing hours (around 2 PM to 10:30 PM), there may be time for occasional variations of that shift.
These positions are considered variable hour with no fixed schedule and are to help cover shifts as needed. Additionally, this role is limited to 1040 hours of work in a 12-month period.
Working Conditions:
* This position works primarily in an office environment with semi-regular tasks requiring movement throughout the facility.
* Duties may involve walking across a large building to various locations, visiting the parking garage, and working outdoors in loading dock and parking areas.
* Occasional exposure to inclement weather is expected.
* The role requires flexibility to manage frequent interruptions and irregular work schedules in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.

Like to have qualifications:
You do not need to have the following preferred qualifications/transferable skills to qualify. However, keep in mind we may consider some or all of the following when identifying the most qualified candidates. Your transferable skills are any skills you have gained through education, work experience, including the military, or life experience that are relevant for this position.
* Previous experience in parking operations or loading dock coordination.
* Intermediate computer proficiency, including familiarity with office software and digital tools.
* Background in customer-facing roles with strong service orientation.
* Demonstrated ability to work in an office environment using various computer systems and applications.
* Experience ensuring public compliance with standards, rules, or regulations in a professional and respectful manner.
* Ability to monitor activity via closed-circuit TV systems and respond appropriately.
* Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy, even when working with frequent interruptions.
