Warehouse Associate

Join a dedicated team as a Warehouse Associate where you'll contribute to efficient operations in a fast-paced, temp-controlled environment. You will play a vital role in food and beverage distribution, managing inventory, and ensuring that products are handled with care and precision.

Responsibilities

• Operate electronic pallet jacks, including single and double pallet jacks, and EPJ in a fulfillment warehouse.
• Pick orders utilizing onboard POS computers and paper pick sheets.
• Use RF scan guns and barcode sticker printers to manage inventory.
• Receive and unload inbound freight, verify and inspect products, and forward information to the receiving clerk.
• Perform pallet breakdowns, restacking, restocking, palletizing, and staging.
• Load outbound trailers efficiently.
• Assist in inventory management, including cycle counts and date coding.

Essential Skills

• Experience in a temp-controlled environment, preferably in food and beverage distribution.
• Proficiency in forklift operation and riding electric pallet jacks.
• Experience in cold storage distribution with 3-4+ years of tenure.
• Capability to operate RF scanners and perform order picking.
• Ability to read, write, communicate, and comprehend English to perform job tasks effectively.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with various configurations of forklifts and hand-held scanners, with training.
• Good judgment to operate a forklift safely and handle products efficiently.
• Ability to work in a cold environment and withstand low temperatures.
• Physical ability to stand, sit, walk, twist, lift, push, and pull inventory regularly, with the capacity to lift up to 100 pounds.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits include medical, dental & vision, critical illness, accident, and hospital coverage, 401(k) retirement plan, life insurance, short and long-term disability, health spending account, transportation benefits, employee assistance program, and time off/leave.
