Position: Warehouse Associate
Pay Rate: $27.80/HR
Duration: 13 weeks
Expected Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm (40 HRS/week) Monday-Friday

JOB SUMMARY
The overall purpose of this position is to provide customers with the goods and services needed to perform the functions of their jobs and support the OHSU mission of healing, teaching and discovery. This position Leads their assigned Logistics operation and is directly responsible for ensuring that all daily tasks are completed as scheduled. If assigned by management the Property Specialist Senior is responsible for ensuring that Logistics staff are compliant with organizational guidelines and policies. This position frequently communicates with customers and staff to identify and resolve problems. The primary duties are focused on warehousing, medical supply delivery, restocking/maintaining POU machines, and linen distribution/collection, procedure/surgery areas monitoring/reporting distribution activities, coaching, training staff and conducting quality checks of supplies. This position is the second level of two within this job classification and reports to Logistics Managers.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1 Warehousing. Signs receipts for shipments of items delivered; submits receipts to Accounting Department for processing; retains records of shipments and product count; load and unload shipments; checks items received against specifications, purchase orders and product amounts, and invoices and inspects items for damage; applies price and identification label on items; places received items on shelves and rotates stock items which have limited life spans; notes when items or supplies on hand are low and assists with data, enters reorders when appropriate and ensures correct charging; issues supplies to staff or may sell items to students, residents, staff, or public; picks items to fill orders of correct count; answers questions from staff such as stock availability and purchasing procedures; tracks purchases; trouble shoots misplaced shipments/packages; performs preventive maintenance functions of the Pyxis machines, ensuring accurate restocking/counting and patient charging, and empties dispensers; ensures shelves are properly erected, clean and properly marked with product information; assists in processing outbound shipments; packages and labels shipments. Ensures locked security of items such as drugs, poisons, flammables. Will use forklift, pallet jacks (powered or manual), piano dolly, large carts and hand trucks for moving shipments. Conducts annual inventory counts. Ensures warehouse is safe, clean, packaging removed, and non-stock products are neatly arranged; reports any facilities deficiencies; provides proper care and regular services to equipment; logs and reports any deficiencies.
2 Inventory Control/Purchasing/Quality Checks. Monitors, counts, and reports restocking and delivery activities; evaluates issue quantities to meet customer needs. Conducts random quality checks of supplies including receiving, data entry, picking; restocking, delivery and utilization. May be responsible for billing to individual units for supplies used.
3 Customer Service: Identifies and resolves customer issues and utilizes proper steps for resolutions or escalates issue to appropriate personnel Keeps up-to-date on customer alias and department location. Answers and triages customer calls.
4 Staffing and oversight: Coaches employees in day to day tasks; assists in training staff, cross training staff in processes and priorities of work; assists supervisor and lead in scheduling work and assigning tasks for the warehouse daily operation; oversees day to day work flow.
5 Transports: Safely operates employer owned vehicles; delivers supplies, maintains and refuels vehicles; maintains driver's log and completes inspections reports. Maintain vehicle equipment such as tire chains and jacks. Performs emergency roadside service such as changing a flat tire.

Job Requirements
Education:
Must be able to read and write English and have basic mathematical skills. Preferred: HS Diploma/GED
Experience:
Experience performing warehouse and inventory work; AND Training or experience providing knowledge of inventory control systems

Conflict resolution skills and the ability to demonstrate effective time management.

Must be able to maintain compliance with organizational guidelines and policies.

Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving history
