Sterile Processing & Distribution Tech

Under the supervision of the department manager, or their designee, the Sterile Processing Technician (SPD Tech) is assigned duties that include, but are not limited to, instrument decontamination, preparation, sterilization and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment and supplies throughout the organization while following infection prevention and safety practices throughout all phases of the process.

Schedule

Full Time 1P-930P

Call hours occasionally required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to communicate in a pleasant, positive and effective manner with staff, patients, visitors and all levels of hospital management
• Completion of Sterile Processing Supply Tech course from an approved educational program strongly preferred
• One-year related job experience preferred
