Description:

Electrical Assembler

We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Assembler with a focus on precision and quality. Ideal candidates will have experience in small part assembly, particularly in electrical and wiring tasks, and be comfortable using hand tools such as wire cutters, strippers, rulers, and crimpers. Candidates must be able to stand for long periods and be available to work on Fridays and Saturdays, up to 8 hours.

Responsibilities

  • Follow established assembly instructions for fiber optic cables and products.
  • Maintain minimum standard quotas for assigned tasks.
  • Comply with all safety requirements and company policies.
  • Achieve an intermediate understanding of assembly tools and their uses.
  • Develop beginner-level component identification and product knowledge.
  • Measure using standard and metric measurements, utilizing conversion tools.
  • Perform tasks accurately to ensure high-quality products.
  • Report any irregularities related to goals, quality, or delays to the production supervisor.
  • Utilize basic problem-solving skills to address issues and implement constructive changes.

Essential Skills

  • 1+ year of experience in small part assembly.
  • Experience with hand tools such as wire cutters, strippers, rulers, and crimpers.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to measure using both standard and metric systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Good manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Basic English communication skills.
  • Ability to reason and analyze.
  • ITAR compliance.

Work Environment

Work in a clean manufacturing environment focused on fiber optics for government and private customers. Employees will wear lab coat-like gowns in a clean room setting. The work schedule is Monday to Thursday from 6:00am to 4:30pm, with frequent overtime on Fridays. The environment promotes teamwork, dependability, and a positive work ethic.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tualatin, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
