Job Position: Maintenance Supervisor
Location: FAIRVIEW, OR
Pay Rate: $40.00/hr DOE
Description: Summary of Functions: As a maintenance supervisor, you will be responsible for day-to-day maintenance operations and the physical upkeep of our production facilities, ensuring compliance with our policies and certifications, as well as all local, state, and federal regulations. Your expertise in team leadership, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting will be essential to our success.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee the daily operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems to ensure reliability and efficiency across the company.
• Oversee all aspects of safety, quality, and efficiency for the maintenance department.
• Ensure effective communication and coordination within the team.
• Drive the execution of maintenance and repair plans, building team skills through training and development.
• Monitor system pressures, temperatures, and levels to maintain proper refrigeration performance.
• Support the recruitment of skilled mechanics and participate in the interview process.
• Spearhead initiatives to improve time to repair by providing timely feedback and documenting learnings.
• Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and SQF in tooling, workshop, and record-keeping management.
• Prioritize and execute preventive maintenance (PM) tasks related to safety and quality.
Qualifications: One to two years of experience in direct supervision of maintenance or production staff in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge, skill, and experience in the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of refrigeration, mechanical systems such as pumps, motors, and controls.
• Ammonia-based systems experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in leading and managing preventive maintenance programs.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Must be able to work in a noisy environment with temperature extremes.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, as well as being able to push, pull, or lift using safety-approved techniques.
