Painter

Join our finishing department as a Coatings Helper, where you will utilize a powder coating spray system to apply outdoor/weatherproof coatings primarily on steel parts. This role involves ensuring parts reach the correct finishing hardness through baking.

Responsibilities

• Use a powder coating spray system to finish steel parts for outdoor/weatherproof coatings.
• Bake parts to achieve the correct finishing hardness.
• Assist with various tasks in the shop such as drawing, blueprint reading, drilling, sawing, and woodworking.

Essential Skills

• Experience with powder coating and painting.
• Proficiency in using wet paint spray systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in drawing, blueprint reading, drilling, sawing, and woodworking.

Work Environment

Work in a dynamic manufacturing setting where we produce a variety of products including park benches, playground equipment, fitness equipment, slides, and trash cans for clients nationwide. The open back shop environment is subject to seasonal temperature changes, being cold in the winter and hot in the summer.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vancouver, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
