AML Operations Analyst

The AML Operations Analyst role is to support the operational aspects of the Bank's AML, BSA, and sanctions compliance program, managed by the Financial Investigations Department (FID). They are expected to meet the identified operational needs of the program, including performing various operational tasks, government reporting, sanctions screening, and continuous support of Anti-Money Laundering Investigations (AMLI) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) teams within FID.

Key responsibilities include:

• Prepare and file Currency Transaction Report
• Analyze CTR information and Monetary Instrument Logs (MIL) and gather additional required data for recordkeeping purposes
• Organize, analyze, and present data related to the Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, and OFAC
• Monitor email and extract data for compliance with the BSA, USA Patriot Act and the rules of OFAC
• Develop a basic knowledge of bank laws and regulations
• Assist with gathering, processing, and coordinating the Bank's BSA, AML, and OFAC data to help ensure compliance with the BSA
• Assist with compliance exams by gathering files, records, and other pertinent information for review by compliance examiners
• Review, document, and respond to potential 314(a) matches
• When necessary, assist with the account closure process
• Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes
• Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training
• Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description
• May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert

Qualifications:

• H.S. Diploma/GED. Required
• Bachelor's degree in business, business management, criminal justice, accounting, or related field. Preferred
• 2 years of BSA/AML/OFAC, Compliance, Audit or Bank Operations experience. Preferred
• 2 years of financial institution experience. Required
• Basic understanding of the requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act and Office of Foreign Assets Control
• Familiarity with filing Currency Transaction Reports, 314(a) screening, and OFAC screening
• Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to gather, organize and interpret data and/or information, and formulate preliminary conclusions
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and tight deadlines
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to exercise good judgment in assessing risk
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to security procedures
• Demonstrate strong communications skills, written and verbal and interpersonal skills to interact with a wide range of individuals and situations with tact, diplomacy, and discretion

Job Location(s): Ability to work fully onsite at posted location(s). The pay range for this role is $25.23 - $30.00 an hour. The pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
