Position: Journeyman Heavy Equipment / Diesel Mechanic

Location: Oregon City, OR (Field-Based)

Pay: $35–$48/hr DOE

Schedule: Tuesday–Friday (4×10s) — start times vary depending on job assignments.

Who We Are

Our client is a highly respected mobile heavy equipment and diesel repair company that has grown entirely through word of mouth. They service a wide variety of equipment and systems including heavy machinery, hydraulics, diesel trucks, drills, fire suppression systems, wastewater equipment, and small-scale arborist machinery.

What You'll Do

As a Journeyman Heavy Equipment/Diesel Mechanic, you will work independently in a fully stocked company truck equipped with cranes, winches, diagnostic tools, and all necessary hand and power tools.

Your responsibilities include:

• Field service and repair of diesel engines, heavy equipment, hydraulics, and electrical systems
• Diagnostics, troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs
• 10-hour shifts, door-to-door (from when you leave home to when you return)
• Receiving daily schedules via text from the owner
• Taking your company truck home each day

What You Need to Have

• 6–7+ years journeyman-level heavy equipment and diesel mechanic experience
• Strong hydraulic system knowledge
• Electrical troubleshooting experience
• High mechanical aptitude + strong independent problem-solving skills
• Clean driving record
• Ability to pass background check & drug screen
• Positive attitude + strong work ethic
• Steel-toe boots

The Musts

• Diesel and heavy equipment repair
• Hydraulic diagnostics and repair
• Valid driver's license with clean record

Preferred

• Field service/mobile mechanic background
• Advanced electrical/diagnostic capabilities
• Experience with a wide variety of equipment types
