The Events and Sponsorship Specialist is responsible for the financial and logistical organization and implementation of assigned fundraising, cultivation and stewardship events.
The Specialist also acts as a Legacy ambassador for various third party fundraising activities. These activities impact specific Legacy Health foundations and support annual giving. Responsibility includes the recruitment and coordination of volunteers, corporate and individual sponsorship procurement and overall event logistics planning. Functions in a cooperative and teamwork-based environment while interfacing closely with Foundations' Gift Officers, Executive Directors, and the other Philanthropy staff.
Education: Bachelor's degree in business, communication, liberal arts or related field, or equivalent experience, plus evidence of continuing professional education through conferences, seminars and professional affiliations.
Experience:Minimum of three years progressively more responsible experience in fund raising event planning, volunteer management, marketing, and/or marketing communications, preferably in health care, academic medicine or higher education. Experience with soliciting corporate sponsorships desirable.
Skills:
Competence in development and organization of fundraising events including vendor management, communications planning, collateral design, sponsorship coordination, of event logistics and guest follow-up.
Computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet, industry-based donor management systems, and presentation and publication software (such as PowerPoint and Canva), as needed for specific position.
Current Driver's license required.
