SHIPPING & RECEIVING ASSOCIATE

SUMMARY

This position requires a mix of shipping and receiving skills including scheduling trucks for pickups, filling out packing slips, doing transactions in a computer system, etc. The best candidate will have an upbeat, positive attitude.

PAY: up to $20/hr depending on skills and experience.

SHIFTS: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Monday - Friday **This is a small team, so flexibility with schedule depending on work volume is required**

DUTIES:

• Maintaining inventory accuracy and organization
• Understand the principles of stock location and arrangement of materials
• Pick and pack items for outbound
• Using RF scanners
• Using logistical systems for shipping/receiving
• Need to be comfortable lifting 50lbs consistently.
• Folding boxes to be used for shipping
• Packing and labeling items for shipping
• Unload shipping containers of product inbound.
• Prepare containers to be shipped per customer requirements.
• Keep daily logs, inventory, and rotate stock.
• Prepare shipping documents.
• Segregate non-conforming material.
• Load and unload trucks using a forklift.
• Perform receiving procedures.
• Must support and follow the QMS requirements.

SKILLS:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Minimum one year, of recent and consistent work experience in a warehouse environment.
• Minimum 6 months working experience on a forklift.
• Moderate computer knowledge
• Highly preferred UPS and/or FedEx Shipping software experience
