The Material Handler performs both physical and administrative tasks associated with the storage, distribution, and order fulfillment of materials, supplies, and equipment. This position ensures high levels of inventory accuracy, supports cross-departmental material needs, and maintains detailed records in SAP ERP. The role involves close collaboration with Receiving, Manufacturing, Service, Quality, Engineering, and Global Trade Compliance teams.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain high inventory accuracy by verifying part numbers, revisions, and counts.
Accurately transact materials within the ERP system (SAP) to support production and service needs.
Troubleshoot issues such as missing materials and inventory discrepancies, performing root-cause analysis as needed.
Pull materials for work orders, Kanban bins, and engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery.
Coordinate material disposition with Purchasing, Planning, and Quality.
Complete and reconcile cycle counts and other periodic inventory checks.
Provide material analysis and reporting using SAP and Microsoft Excel.
Assist in Receiving and Shipping when required, including purchase orders, RMAs, and sales orders.
Coordinate with Traffic and Global Trade Compliance for carrier pickups and shipment documentation.
Uphold safety standards and maintain organized storage areas.
Required Experience
1-5 years of experience in a warehousing, shipping, receiving, or supply chain role within a low-volume, high-complexity electronics environment.
Experience using ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred).
Strong computer aptitude and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, SharePoint).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
