Bindery And Print Assistant - Temporary

Originally established as a quick-print shop in the Portland area, our client quickly became known as a leading local resource for fast-turnaround printing needs of local businesses. This position helps in various areas at the end of production, including handwork, insert operator, and sorting responsibilities. Quality results driven with an eye for detail is the ideal candidate for this role.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7 am - 3:30 pm (may have some flexibility) Duration: September - November 2025

Possibility for long-term based on performance and work volume.

Pay: starting at $22/hr, pay based on relevant experience and skills.

Duties:

• Assists either the Insert/Sorter operator at the end of the mail machines
• Perform line breakdown and stacks completed mail buckets for shipment.
• Set up and adjust the machinery that performs all the mailing operations.
• Staple packets, stuffing envelopes, and assembling calendars.
• Move quickly between separate tasks and operations
• Work independently to maintain consistent quality through the run, and maintaining quantity counts.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 6 months in a light-industrial (production/assembly line or warehouse) environment
• Bindery or Print Operator experience will have preference.
• Work experience in an environment that requires attention to detail
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds consistently.
• Must be able to sit or stand on your feet all day and be able to bend, turn, twist, and lift.
• Must be able to understand and communicate in English and follow operator instructions.
