Fabricator

We are seeking a skilled fabricator with expertise in 2G/3G Dual Shield Welding and Fabrication at the journeyman level. The role involves some fabrication around the shop using shop drawings and complex blueprints. Experience with MIG FCAW/GMAW welding on pressure vessels, tanks, and heat exchangers is required. The work includes welding materials ranging from 10 gauge to 1.5-inch thickness. While proficiency in all welding positions is ideal, most welds are performed in one position.

Responsibilities:

• Perform 2G/3G Dual Shield Welding and Fabrication at journeyman level.
• Fabricate components using shop drawings and complex blueprints.
• Execute MIG FCAW/GMAW welding on pressure vessels, tanks, and heat exchangers.
• Handle materials ranging from 10 gauge to 1.5-inch thickness.
• Ensure high-quality welding in predominantly one position.

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in Dual Shield Welding and Fabrication.
• Experience with MIG FCAW/GMAW welding techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and shop drawings.
• Experience with welding on pressure vessels, tanks, and heat exchangers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in a job shop environment preferred.
• Knowledge in working with a variety of materials including stainless steel.
• Part of the boilermakers union.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, OR.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $32.00/hr.
