Olive Recruiting is looking for an Accountant to join our client's team in Portland, OR. The primary functions of the Accountant are the accurate recording, analyzing, and reporting of the day-to-day business transactions and the individual projects using generally accepted accounting principles. This position requires great attention to detail, effective communication skills and ability to work on a team to support internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Accurate recording, analyzing, and reporting of the day-to-day business transactions for the company services and the individual projects
• Maintain general ledgers of multiple companies for accuracy and completeness in accordance with GAAP
• Prepare selected cash flow reports and variance reports both on scheduled intervals, and on an as needed basis
• Prepare journal entries required for closing
• Track receivables, record customer payments, and follow up as necessary
• Assist in preparing materials for annual external audit
• Support accounts payables for vendor and supplier invoices
• Prepare selected aging reports and distribute to department leadership
• Proactively identifies and implements process improvements as necessary
• Other duties may be assigned

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or finance; Relevant work experience may be considered
• Minimum of 2 years' accounting experience
• Must have experience with QuickBooks
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel)
• Attention to detail
