Sigma Inc is currently looking for a 2nd Shift Palletizer Operator (Forklift) to work onsite with our team located in Portland, OR
Shift : 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM

Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Palletizer Operator to support production operations on 2nd shift. This role is responsible for operating palletizing equipment and forklifts, maintaining product flow, and ensuring all finished goods meet quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and a strong team player.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate forklifts safely and efficiently while maintaining awareness of warehouse layout, feed codes, and date codes
  • Keep palletizer, shrink wrapper, and related equipment running safely and efficiently
  • Supply palletizer with slip sheets, pallets, and shrink wrap as needed
  • Monitor product flow and remove finished product from the end of the line
  • Accurately count and report all good product, setoffs, and metal detector kickoffs to the Packer Operator
  • Ensure all product is placed in proper locations in accordance with EQMS guidelines
  • Prevent palletizer shutdowns caused by product buildup
  • Assist maintenance with troubleshooting to minimize downtime
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas and properly store empty bags
  • Complete all required GMP, safety, quality, and production documentation (paper and electronic)
  • Comply with all Land O'Lakes policies, including Safety, Environmental, Quality, and Production programs
  • Assist other operators as needed and work overtime when required
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Forklift experience preferred (training available for power industrial trucks)
  • Mechanically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs from floor to 50 inches using safe lifting practices
  • Comfortable working at heights (bins, legs, equipment platforms)
  • Basic computer skills and ability to perform simple math using a calculator
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team
  • Positive attitude with a strong commitment to safety and quality
