Hillside in McMinnville, OR, a HumanGood community nationally rated as 2025-2026 Best Senior Living community for Independent Living and Memory Care by U.S News & World Report, is looking for a talented and passionate part time Maintenance Technician Helper to join our team!

Under direct supervision, Maintenance Technician Helper performs unskilled maintenance work in the daily and preventive care, repair, and maintenance of building systems and equipment; performs plumbing, electrical, roofing, flooring, masonry, painting, mechanical, and carpentry work.

Schedules Available:

This is a part time position, around 20 hours per week, rotating days and times. Occasional weekend and evening availability required.

Pay range: $17+ per hour, depending on experience

Job Duties:

• Perform assigned maintenance duties and routine preventive maintenance.
• Maintain all tools, equipment and supplies in proper condition;
• Assist with refurbishment projects and repairs;
• Install, finish, repair, paint, remove and dispose of drywall or other material;
• Performs electrical work such as repairing and replacing switches, receptacles, lights, and motors;
• Performs minor plumbing repairs and installations;
• Responds to work orders in a timely manner and performs follow up calls as needed.

To be successful in the role, you would have:

• A minimum tenure of one year with a previous employer is required, one year in a similar role preferred.
• Occasional weekend and evening availability required.
• Up to one year of experience in a related field of building maintenance or construction, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Attendance at a technical training institute or program preferred.
