Position Summary

Carter Support Services is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Night Auditor to manage overnight front desk operations while performing daily financial and audit responsibilities. This role is critical to ensuring accurate financial reporting, smooth overnight guest services, and a secure hotel environment during late-night hours.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently overnight, has strong attention to detail, and provides excellent customer service to guests during non-traditional hours.
Key Responsibilities

  • Perform overnight front desk duties, including guest check-ins and check-outs
  • Balance and reconcile daily hotel financial transactions and reports
  • Prepare daily revenue reports and ensure accuracy of postings
  • Process payments, billing adjustments, and night audit procedures
  • Address guest requests, concerns, or issues during overnight hours
  • Monitor hotel security, access, and safety procedures overnight
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams regarding room status
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and accounting standards
  • Prepare reports for management and ensure smooth shift handover
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year of hotel front desk, night audit, or accounting-related experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
  • Basic accounting or bookkeeping knowledge
  • Proficiency with computers and hotel property management systems (PMS)
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions overnight
  • Availability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a hotel Night Auditor
  • Experience with cash handling, reconciliation, and financial reporting
  • Familiarity with hotel security and safety procedures
