Role Description

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) provides comprehensive support to both internal and external customers. This role works closely with the Customer Service and Sales teams and serves as a key liaison to ensure accurate order processing, timely communication, and a positive customer experience. A background in manufacturing is helpful.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Enter customer Requests for Quotes (RFQs) into the estimation system
  • Process customer Purchase Orders (POs) in Toyo Tanso USA's (TTU) sales order workbench to support sales activity and ensure accurate sales reporting
  • Navigate and work within company and customer systems, including IndustriOS, Ariba, Pact, GE Single Sign On, iSupplier, and internal quoting systems
  • Follow up on RFQs, sales orders, customer inquiries, and internal requests to ensure timely resolution
  • Collaborate with Sales and CSR team members to support customer needs and business objectives
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support department and organizational goals
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Microsoft Office software experience preferred including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Strong problem-solving ability with the flexibility to manage unique, case-by-case situations
  • Ability to interpret and follow written, verbal, diagrammatic, or schedule-based instructions
  • Professional communication style with the ability to maintain respectful, positive dialogue with interdepartmental customers
  • Fluency in Japanese preferred but not required
