Carpenter

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a Carpenter to help with projects for a contractor who works in the Portland, Oregon area.

We are looking for a hard-working carpenter who is experienced in high-end remodel work, form to finish.

You will work with the contractor and crew in various tasks related to construction, renovation, and woodworking projects in the high-end remodel field.

Carpenter

Responsibilities:

• Measuring, cutting, and shaping wood, plywood, and other materials according to project specifications.
• Installation and assembly of structural frameworks, including walls, roofs, and flooring.
• Transport and organize materials, tools, and equipment to and from the job site.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently under the guidance of experienced carpenter.
• Construction and installation of doors, windows, cabinets, and other fixtures.
• Setup and takedown of ladders, and other work platforms.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including sweeping, cleaning tools, and disposing of debris.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure work environment for yourself and others.
• Perform other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Understanding of construction and woodworking
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Good communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and take direction.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools.
• Reliable day to day transportation needed to get to the jobsites

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
• Comfort with working outdoors and in various weather conditions.
• Capacity to carry and manipulate heavy materials and tools.

• Monday - Friday
• 6:00am - 8:00am start time depending on project
• $30/hr DOE
