Position Overview

As a Senior Water Damage Restoration Specialist, you will play a vital role in restoring and repairing residential and commercial properties after significant water damage. Your expertise in electronics, machinery management, specialized drying techniques, and HVAC integration will be critical. You will also oversee large-scale loss scenarios, manage multiple teams, and take on substantial production responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead teams in the proper utilization of personal protective equipment during water damage projects.
  • Evaluate daily project requirements, document progress meticulously, and communicate updates and challenges to management effectively.
  • Ensure thorough documentation in the field, including photographic records, charts, and sketches related to various projects.
  • Employ your skills to sketch layouts, interpret plans, and collect moisture content data to set clear drying objectives.
  • Analyze humidity loads, assess affected areas, and request additional resources for comprehensive water loss scenarios.
  • Determine electrical requirements for drying equipment and arrange temporary power sources when necessary.
  • Conduct inspections and maintain vehicle and equipment safety, ensuring everything is clean and operational.
  • Focus on detail-oriented tasks while preserving the integrity of others' property in accordance with BELFOR standards.
  • Exemplify strong customer service principles in all interactions.
  • Work effectively under time constraints to meet deadlines and accurately report hours worked and resources utilized to management.
  • Participate in BELFOR-sponsored operations and safety training as required.

Requirements

  • Supervise basic to intermediate water damage tasks and manage large loss scenarios efficiently.
  • Create comprehensive moisture maps using industry-standard tools and methodologies.
  • Oversee multiple crews and projects simultaneously with ease.
  • Identify and implement appropriate disposal methods, securing releases of liability for disposed items.
  • Possess a strong understanding of IICRC S500 and S520 standards.
  • Hold a current IICRC ASD certification and demonstrate proficiency in various moisture detection tools and techniques.
  • Exhibit strong knowledge of air mover calculations, dehumidification charts, and electrical specifications.
  • Meet the eligibility criteria to operate a motor vehicle in compliance with BELFOR's policies.
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency, maintain a professional demeanor, and possess a positive attitude along with a robust work ethic.
  • Fluency in English is required.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly lift weights exceeding 50 lbs.
  • Occasionally assist in lifting up to 41 lbs and beyond.
  • Effectively navigate tight spaces.
  • Maintain various physical positions, including standing, sitting, walking, and bending.
  • Utilize mobile devices for data collection and time tracking efficiently.
