ABOUT ASSETS PROTECTION

Our Assets Protection teams are dedicated to safeguarding our guests, team members, and brand by leading during crisis events. They play a vital role in enhancing sales by minimizing risks associated with shortages, theft, and fraud, ensuring products are available for our guests. Additionally, they forge crucial partnerships with store leaders and public safety officials, including law enforcement.

AS AN ASSETS PROTECTION OFFICER, YOU WILL:

• Utilize surveillance techniques to keep everyone safe while reducing shortages.
• Monitor guests using Target's video surveillance system to spot potential theft risks.
• Implement Assets Protection practices proactively to prevent shortages.
• Document cases effectively and accurately.
• Identify and address external theft and fraud strategically.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INCLUDE:

• Supporting sales and guest service by ensuring product availability through theft prevention.
• Addressing theft with sound judgment according to Assets Protection policies.
• Leveraging technology and reporting mechanisms to identify theft trends.
• Preventing theft by collecting and sharing essential information.
• Effectively using video systems to monitor criminal activity.
• Responding to security incidents and documenting them appropriately.
• Promoting a culture of safety and security for team members and guests.
• Building relationships with public safety officials and law enforcement.
• Participating in legal matters as necessary.
• Adapting to other business needs as required.
