Exciting Opportunity: Events Manager – New American Restaurant & Private Event Venue

Are you a hospitality leader with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences? We're seeking an Events Manager to join the opening team of a dynamic New American restaurant, bar, and private event venue in Portland's vibrant Pearl District. This is your chance to help shape the guest experience from day one in a chef-driven, beverage-forward environment.

What You'll Do:

• Serve as the main onsite point of contact for clients during events.
• Execute small- and large-scale events with precision and polish.
• Lead and coordinate front-of-house staff, including servers, bartenders, and bussers.
• Oversee setup and ensure event spaces reflect floor plans and BEOs.
• Address client and guest needs promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless service.
• Manage event billing, POS entry, and payment processing accurately.
• Foster a positive, collaborative team environment while enforcing high service standards.

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience in banquet management, catering, or event leadership.
• Strong knowledge of POS systems, cash handling, and food safety regulations.
• Customer-focused with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Physically able to lift and move heavy items as needed.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
