Fulfillment Specialist, Central Fill (1st Shift)

Join Safeway as a Fulfillment Specialist at Central Fulfillment Center in Ridgefield, WA. The role involves working in a closed?door, fast?paced pharmacy production line and processing and shipping prescription orders. Under the supervision of the PIC/Group Supervisor you will scan, sort and assist with preparing shipments to stores using automated equipment and conveyor systems. You will work as part of a team to ensure accuracy and completeness of orders and maintain a continuous workflow to help meet team goals.

Pay Transparency

Pay Rate: $20/hr, plus an additional $2/hr shift premium for hours worked after 4pm. Starting rates will be no less than the local minimum wage and may vary based on location, experience, qualifications and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement. Dependent on length of service, hours worked and any applicable collective bargaining agreement, benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay (accrued based on hours worked), PTO/Vacation pay (accrued based on hours worked), paid holidays (between 7-9 days annually), bereavement pay, and retirement benefits (pension and/or 401(k) eligibility).

Main Responsibilities

• Follow and promote proper pharmacy, general safety and security procedures and processes of the company.
• Preparation of prescription orders for delivery, with non?technician tasks to support central fill operations.
• Maintain automated production lines, inspect/prepare packages, sort, and apply manifest information to prescription orders.
• Assist in organizing totes on pallets to prepare for shipment.
• Escalate technical and workflow issues as needed.
• Assist with replenishment of supplies and cleaning of workstations as needed.
• Other duties as assigned concurrent with all applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Required:
  
  • Licensed with the Board of Pharmacy in the CF home state as a Pharmacy Assistant.
  • Ability to preserve confidentiality of patient information.
  
  
• Preferred:
  • Previous experience working with an inventory management system, including working with scanning equipment, conveyor lines and/or robotic systems.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Willing and able to stand/walk majority of shift with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Willing and able to perform tasks which include pushing, pulling, grasping, bending, stooping, rotating, reaching, and lifting/carrying up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Visual focus such as counting, observing, etc. is required consistently.
• Performing repetitive tasks up to 100% of the time.
