Responsibilities

• Create a unique and enjoyable Murray's Cheese shopping experience through engaging customer service, hands-on product education, effective cross-selling, and eye-catching merchandising.
• Develop and maintain a knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient staff trained in Murray's Cheese products and operations.
• Communicate and enforce all Kroger and Murray's policies, operating standards, and procedures to ensure compliance and excellence in operations.
• Ensure that staff follows all Food Safety, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point, and Sanitation Procedures diligently.
• Manage inventory through precise ordering and stock maintenance.
• Organize and set up weekly in-store selling events to showcase products.
• Contribute positively to store goals, focusing on increasing sales and improving profitability.
• Monitor shrink and waste effectively by adhering to Best Practices set by Murray's and Kroger.
• Control labor expenses through effective scheduling to optimize team performance.
• Meet or exceed budget goals for the Murray's Cheese Shop.
• Supervise and mentor direct reports, providing performance reviews and constructive feedback regularly.
• This role may be adapted with reasonable accommodation to perform essential functions effectively.

Qualifications

• Management experience or Food Retail experience or a two-year Culinary Degree.
• Willingness to taste and explore a variety of cheeses daily.
• Supportive of cheese business initiatives and trends.
• Able to inspire, motivate, and train your team to ensure all tasks are completed successfully.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong desire to learn, enthusiasm for cheese, and openness to innovative approaches.
