TASKSANDRESPONSIBILITIES:

• Receive,checkin,andunloadin-boundmerchandiseusingpowerequipment,palletjacks and other related equipment. Stack the merchandise as it is received.
• Selectthemerchandisetobeshipped tothestores.
• Palletizemerchandiseandshrinkwrap.(AllnewhiresstartoutasOrder Selectors)
• Loadmerchandiseontotrucktrailers.
• Completerequiredshippingdocuments.
• Crosstrainandworkinvariousareasofthe facility.
• Followcompany procedures.
• Ensureasafework environment.
• Responsibleforperformingalljobdutieswithhonestyandintegrity.

SKILLS,PHYSICALREQUIREMENTSANDWORKINGCONDITIONS:

• Abilitytoreachandtoliftproductselectedweighinguptoapproximately90lbs.withan average case weight of 28 lbs.
• Manualdexterity,overallcoordinationandgoodbalanceare required.
• Abilitytostand,walkandmoverapidlyforentire workshift.
• Abilitytobend,stoop,twistandturnfrequently.
• Abilitytodorepetitiousarmmovementsaboveandbelowshoulderlevelrequiredfor selection of product.
• Abilitytouseandoperaterelatedworkaidestoincludemotordrivenpalletjacks.
• Mentalalertnessisnecessarytoensuresafe andaccuratecompletionofworkactivities.
• Ability to learn proper selection procedures, shipping and receiving techniques, computerizedinventoryproceduresandsafeoperatingtechniquesofmotordrivenpallet jacks and forklifts.
• Exposuretopotentialhazardsexistswithrespecttoequipmentnecessarytoperformjob duties.
• Potentialexposureexiststocommonhouseholdcleaningproductsbeingshippedto customer, i.e. laundry detergents, ammonia, bleach, etc.
• Occasionalexposuretofacilitypestcontrol fumes.
• Workplacetemperaturerangesareconsistentbydepartment.
• Employeesworkindepartmentswhichmayrangeintemperaturesfrom80 to-20F.
• Incasesoftemperaturerangesoutsidethenorm,PersonalProtectiveEquipmentis provided.
• Employeesmayberequiredtoworkatsecondorthirdstorylevelswhenperforming work in conveyable selection systems.
• Noiseexposureiswithinnormalwarehouseexpectations.
