POSITION SUMMARY

Join our dedicated team as a Facilities Maintenance Technician, where your commitment to excellence will ensure our guests and associates have the best experience possible. You will play a vital role in maintaining our property, ensuring that all equipment is operational and that our guest rooms are in prime condition. Your role includes completing tasks as outlined in the Green Shield Binder and following management directives in a timely manner that meets our high standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide exceptional service to enhance the experience of our guests and fellow associates.
  • Work independently while completing essential duties efficiently and within company standards.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and follow through according to company procedures.
  • Conduct thorough out-of-room cleaning as per the Green Shield Binder, including trash collection and ensuring cleanliness of both interiors and exteriors.
  • Perform timely and professional repairs as outlined on work orders.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance inspections as per the Green Shield Binder.
  • Follow the Green Shield Inspection schedule to ensure all tasks are completed promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspections and deficiencies.
  • Adhere to the Green Shield Schedule and utilize SOPs to maintain high standards in all tasks.
  • Keep the maintenance area organized and ensure tools are in optimal working condition.
  • Ensure boiler rooms, electrical rooms, and HVAC systems are compliant with company standards and local regulations.
  • Regularly check fire safety equipment to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Follow safety and security policies in compliance with OSHA and ADA regulations.
  • If applicable, maintain the pool and spa according to company standards and local laws.
  • Assist in emergency response as required.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors as directed by management.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

  • Assist with cleaning common areas and other sections of the hotel as directed.
  • Ensure overall cleanliness of the hotel premises.
  • Perform any additional duties assigned by management.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Proficient in English for effective communication with guests, associates, and vendors.
  • Understand and follow safety rules and company guidelines.
  • Ability to write routine reports and maintain correspondence.
  • Basic math skills for measuring and reporting.
  • Use good judgment in all scenarios.
  • Assist in resolving guest issues professionally.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Be able to navigate the hotel, remain stationary, and perform tasks requiring physical movement.
  • Access different areas of the hotel, including low heights, and maintain stability.
  • Occasionally lift or push/pull objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Work in various environmental conditions, including outdoor weather.
  • Encounter wet or humid conditions and potential exposure to chemicals.
  • Work in areas with moderate to loud noise levels.
  • Travel to assist at nearby locations as necessary.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED, along with one to three months of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
