Featuring 226 rooms, the hotel is within walking distance to the gorgeous waterfront as well as to local bustling attractions such as the Vancouver Farmers Market (directly across the street from the hotel), making us an excellent base for both leisure and business travel.The ideal candidate will possess the following:* Minimum of three (3) years of experience in catering and events, specifically within a hotel setting.* Proven ability to manage the end-to-end event lifecycle, from initial client pitches and proposal development through to contract finalization and execution* Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong, long-term relationships, with a particular emphasis on working with non-profit organizations* Ability to manage a sales pipeline and close deals, contributing to overall revenue targets* Proven experience in managing and executing events for up to 1,000 attendees, ensuring seamless operations* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, essential for client interactions and internal coordination.* Flexible and adaptable with schedule to meet the dynamic needs of the business, including potential evening and weekend work* Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with clients and colleagues on a personal level*
