JOB PURPOSE:

Administrative support to faculty and Administrative Coordinator of Religious Studies, Philosophy, and Classics.

PREREQUISITES FOR ELIGIBILITY:

  • Must be able to write clean and concise emails, be comfortable conversing with diverse populations including our admitted students, faculty, and alumni.
  • Must have strong verbal and organizational skills, and be extremely detail-oriented.
  • Federal or L&C Work Study required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs, Google Sheets and Canva.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain commitment throughout the academic year.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, communication and administrative skills.
  • Able to work independently.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Various administrative duties to support Religious Studies, Philosophy, and Classics including but not limited to:
  • Update content on website for all departments
  • Create flyers and posters
  • Photocopying and scanning textbooks for faculty
  • Managing files on Google Docs and Sheets
  • Assisting faculty with any projects they require
RESPONSIBILITY TOWARDS DIVERSITY:
  • Ability to honor and work with all identities and individuals, particularly those who are underrepresented in the country and/or at Lewis & Clark College.
SCHEDULE:
  • Part time and flexible schedule
  • Based on student's availability during office hours Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
RATE OF PAY:
  • $16.30 per hour

  • Federal or L&C Work Study required
