Pay Range: $23.92/hr+ $1 shelter differential + $1 bilingual differential
Mondays 2:30 pm-9:30 pm (7 hours with 30 minute lunch)
Tuesdays 3:30 pm -9:30 pm (6 hours with 30 minute lunch)
Wednesdays (team meetings) 11am-12:30 pm
Fridays 2:30 pm - 9:30 pm (5.5 hours with 30 minute lunch)

The SafeChoice Part-Time Shelter Advocate helps to provide supportive and low barrier emergency shelter services to survivors of domestic violence. The SafeChoice shelter provides comprehensive support to survivors of domestic violence. All services provided are trauma-informed, survivor-centered and in compliance with contract requirements. This position is responsible for providing direct service advocacy in the SafeChoice Domestic Violence Shelter. Services are provided 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. The SafeChoice Part-Time Shelter Advocate provides services that align with agency values. This position provides coverage for shelter shifts when full-time shelter staff are not available to work due to illness or other leave from work. This position will be asked to support with evening and overnight shift coverage if an on-call staff is unavailable to take an open shift or callout. They must have the ability to adjust hours on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays to help with coverage for those swing shifts and overnight shifts as needed. This position has a strong focus on facility support with room turnovers and assisting with donations as needed.
