Job Title: CNC Router Operator II Job Description
The CNC Router Operator II is responsible for the set-up and operation of the CNC Router, ensuring compliance with both inch and metric drawing specifications. This role demands a commitment to teamwork, accountability, and a balance between organizational and customer needs.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC Router to machine flat and formed parts to inch and metric drawing specifications.
Act as a technical resource regarding tooling and machining capabilities.
Evaluate and justify new tooling and machining processes.
Communicate issues related to work orders, programming errors, and material shortages or errors.
Focus on the reduction of material, labor, and scrap.
Perform minor maintenance activities as required by the preventive maintenance program.
Engage in continued education and training, including ISO 9001, safety, blueprint reading, and teamwork.
Maintain cleanliness of work area.
Record labor for job tracking.
Machine various plastics such as WPP, NPP, FRPP, Polycarbonate, PVC, Acrylic, UHMW, Delrin, PTFE, PFA, and PVDF.
Lead large projects from start to finish.
Interact with engineering on part designs and advise on corrective actions.
Document red lines and monitor line side inventory.
Perform other duties as requested.
Essential Skills
Two to three years' experience or an AA degree in Machine Technology.
Good math skills in trigonometry.
Ability to perform lead responsibilities in a productive and professional manner.
Proficient in machining various plastics and metals.
Ability to machine to a .005 tolerance.
Experience using rotary table and divider head mill vise.
Proficient in tooling design and inspection.
Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings and Bill of Materials.
Experience with manual machine setup and operation of manual mill and lathe.
Troubleshooting skills.
CNC machine setup, program loading, and tool offset setting.
Use of precision measuring devices in thousandths.
Identification of cutting tools and materials.
CNC Programming skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High school degree or equivalent.
Demonstrated skills in at least one other discipline (cross-trained).
Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
Ability to handle fragile products carefully and perform repetitive tasks.
Safety awareness.
Ability to read and understand machine codes.
Ability to deburr parts.
Capability to lift and carry products weighing up to 35 pounds.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
