The Opportunity:
The Associate Relationship Manager - Strategic Partnerships works in the office and is a professional level employee responsible, alongside the firm's Senior Sales Professionals, for coverage of strategic partnership prospects within a specific territory (e.g. brokers, banks, and insurance firms located in Latin America and Asia). This person will actively research and identify potential strategic partners, set and conduct meetings, build relationships with decision makers, meet face to face, and present to financial institutions to help develop strategic partnerships.
The Day-to-Day:
Interfaces with external partners and institutional team members to efficiently coordinate with Sales Relationship Managers and deploy the firm's business development resources and orchestrate the institutional sales process within assigned territory
Travels to meet with prospective partners in person
Ensure accurate, regularly updated information regarding prospect personnel, decision-making processes, and search activity is recorded in the firm's proprietary systems
Cold calls to establish contacts and arrange prospect meetings
Conducts formal presentations to articulately convey the firm's partnership philosophy and investment strategies to prospects
Prepares materials, strategize with senior management and FI Sales Professionals, and participate in execution of presentations to win business
Explains relevant FI policies and philosophy to prospective partners
Maintains and updates databases clearly and accurately on communication activity with prospective partners
Operates and represents FI with the highest level of integrity and work ethic
Works onsite, under direct supervision, in a team-based and open office environment
All positions assigned to a corporate office location are required to work in an open office environment for supervision, coaching, development, mentoring, team building, culture reinforcement, quality control, efficiency, regulatory, risk management, confidentiality, and information security reasons.
Your Qualifications:
Highly proficient in Spanish is a requirement. Proficient in Portuguese as well is a plus
Required to travel 51% or more of the time
At least 2 years of experience, and demonstrated track record of success, selling investment management to institutions or high net worth individuals preferred
Competitive and self-motivated—ability to set, monitor, and accomplish goals
Resourceful and organized—ability to work smart; multi-task and address complex challenges managing a broad opportunity set
Solid investment knowledge; previous Institutional investment experience preferred
Ability to apply mathematical and financial concepts such as geometric linking, cap/dollar/equal weightings, Alpha, Beta, Tracking Error, Information Ratio
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals
Compensation:
$80,200 - $100,000 base salary per year in the state of WA. New hires should expect to start at the lower end of the range depending on experience
Eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance
