Classification: 10 month, Full-time, Exempt

Job Summary

We seek a dedicated and strategic Academic Resource Center (ARC) Coordinator to lead our instructional support efforts. This role is mission-critical in ensuring that our students receive the targeted Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions necessary to thrive in a rigorous academic environment. The ideal candidate possesses a strong Special Education background and a collaborative approach, working closely with teachers, families, and administrators to ensure that every student's unique learning needs are met with both expertise and care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead and coordinate all Tier 2 and Tier 3 instructional support efforts within the ARC, focusing on Reading, Writing, and Mathematics.
  • Design and implement "Learning Support Agreements" (LSAs) for students, serving as the primary architect for academic plans that address specific learning differences and outline student supports.
  • Consult regularly with teachers, parents/guardians, and counselors to maintain a whole-person perspective of student progress and identify needs based on testing data and classroom performance.
  • Recruit, train, and match a cadre of capable tutors; ensure tutor efficacy.
  • Administer NWEA MAP tests and track achievement data for all students utilizing the ARC and serve as a core member of the weekly Student Review Team (SRT), presenting data points to inform school-wide interventions.
  • Coordinate student accommodation for classroom assessments as well as serve as the official Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) Coordinator for College Board.
  • Teach 1-2 sections of a core academic content area of expertise as needed (math, english, history, etc.).
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Special Education, or related field.
  • Knowledge of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and ability to translate them into actionable LSAs.
  • Demonstrated experience working with at-risk students and a commitment to culturally responsive support.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to navigate complex student needs.
