Job Title: Manufacturing Engineering Technician

Duration: 6-12 Months (Possible temp to hire)

Shift: Swing Shift 1pm to 9:30pm

Location: Tualatin, OR 97062

Pay Rate: $34.00/Hour on W2

Job Description:

  • The candidate will be self-directed and capable of working autonomously to support and achieve company goals.
  • This role involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving manufacturing equipment and processes while supporting safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work independently to complete assigned tasks and support manufacturing goals.
  • Identify and troubleshoot process, material, or equipment issues to minimize downtime.
  • Recommend solutions to Manufacturing Engineering and Test & Automation Engineering teams.
  • Install, maintain, dismantle, repair, overhaul, and rebuild electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and electronic equipment and components.
  • Support and promote Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with hands-on training of manufacturing employees on new products, tooling, equipment, and process changes.
  • Support and deploy digital tools throughout the factory.
  • Promote and maintain a safety-first culture.
  • Maintain proper organization of materials, parts, tools, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Keep equipment and work areas clean and orderly; support and promote 5S standards.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in stressful situations while following company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regular attendance in accordance with the Attendance Policy.

Technical Skills & Experience:

  • Basic microcomputer skills, including:
  • Understanding of microprocessor operation and interfacing.
  • I/O and interfacing concepts.
  • Software interaction and applications.
  • Programming languages and techniques.

PLC experience, including:

  • Basic system configuration and hardware.
  • Data manipulation and communications.
  • Advanced programming commands.
  • Interfacing, troubleshooting, and application/program development.
  • Ability to troubleshoot Windows- and Linux-based technical problems.
  • Familiarity with standard recognized troubleshooting practices.
  • Ability to reference National Electrical Codes (NEC).
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
