The County Surveyor's Office in the Department of Land Use and Transportation is recruiting for aSurvey Technician III in the Development Review Section of the Surveyor's Office. The primaryduties may include reviewing surveys andplatsfor compliance with applicable statutes and codesfor filing in the County Surveyor's Office.
IdealKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
Surveying principles and methods.
Statutes relating to surveying, right-of-way, and platting.
Computer software relating to surveying and engineering.
Use current manual and electronic survey instruments.
Use computerassisteddrafting software.
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Establish andmaintaincooperative working relationships with individuals and groups who come from diverse backgrounds and represent members of the public, coworkers, and/or vendors.

Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience:
Associate's Degree in surveying, mathematics, geographic information systems, construction management, engineering, forestry, or related field; AND two (2) years of responsible experience in boundary, cadastral or construction surveying.OR
Four (4) years of responsible experience in boundary, cadastral or construction surveying, which includes functional lead or training personnel experience.
SpecialQualifications:
Mustpossessa driver's license valid in the State of Oregon and have an acceptable driving record
