Description:

LHH is partnering with a growing, innovation-driven manufacturing organization is seeking a Commodity Manager to lead strategic sourcing initiatives and support supplier development across a range of components and materials. This role will play a key part in driving sourcing strategy, supporting new product initiatives, and building strong supplier partnerships.

Our client offers excellent benefits, including flexible PTO, annual bonus, and stock options! The base compensation or this role is dependent on experience ranging from $115K-$140K.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies across assigned commodities
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to meet evolving business needs
  • Partner cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and leadership teams
  • Support new product introduction and supplier readiness activities
  • Lead supplier negotiations, contracting, and ongoing relationship management
  • Monitor supplier performance through metrics, scorecards, and business reviews
  • Analyze spend and market trends to identify cost savings and risk mitigation opportunities
  • Drive continuous improvement across cost, quality, and delivery performance

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or commodity management
  • Background in a manufacturing or product-based environment
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills
  • Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-paced setting
  • Experience working with domestic and/or global suppliers
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Preferred:

  • Experience with plastics xywuqvp
  • Exposure to additional commodities such as electrical components, chemicals, or machined parts
  • Experience supporting new product development or scaling operations
