Automotive Detailer

Beaverton Auto Spa has an immediate need for an Automotive Detailer. Excellent earning potential; very busy shop.

We are looking for rock stars that have a "can do" attitude and take pride in the detail of each car they touch. You climb in, out, up down, bend, kneel, and crawl, all within the cars that are in your charge. You will assure inside and exterior cleanliness of vehicles, get along with your co-workers, and learn additional skills while in this position. What you'll do:

• Wash the exterior of vehicles using various cleaning solutions
• Wax and buff vehicles using cloths and buffing machines
• Polish wheels
• Vacuum to remove dirt and debris
• Clean upholstery and surfaces
• Use air compressors and cloths to dry surfaces and apply preservation chemicals to surfaces for protection against spots and stains
• May use different kinds of dyes, paints and waxes to protect the leather or fabric of vehicles
• May involve cleaning and removing grease on engines or engine compartments
• Plus other tasks as requested

What you'll need:

• Unlimited physical dexterity
• Ability to understand formulas in order to mix cleaning solutions, paints and other chemicals
• The ability to operate cleaning equipment is essential; must know how to efficiently operate hand tools or power tools and follow the safety policies
• One year detailer experience preferred; will train the right candidates
• Valid driver's license

Physical requirements:

Regularly required to stand and walk. Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb. Ability to lift, carry, pull and push up to 50 pounds. Twist and turn in confined spaces. Manual dexterity, repetitive motion tasks. Frequent exposure to toxic chemicals. Moderate noise level. Respirators and other protective equipment may be required, and will be provided.

A background check and drug screen are required for chosen candidates.
